Sharapova Out from LA Championship - Tennis Live UpdateFormer World number one Maria Sharapova is out from the LA Championship. Italy's Flavia Penutta defeated Sharapova by 6-2, 4-6,6-3.
After the defeat Sharapova said "I didn't feel fresh, she further added 'I was surprised it went to the third and I had my opportunities, but I couldn't close it out."
In other Semi final Samantha defeated Sorana Cirstea by 6-3,6-2.
Samantha Stosur will meet Italy's Flavia Penutta in the final of LA Championship.
Bummer about Sharapova, she was really pulling in the crowds to watch her play.
